The Vanaz V4321 is a slam shut-off valve installed immediately after the filter and prior to the pressure regulator in a gas train. It normally remains open; if the regulator’s outlet pressure exceeds the permissible limit, the valve senses this through its impulse line and immediately shuts off flow to the downstream line, acting as a critical over-pressure safety device. Once the regulator has been repaired, the valve must be reset (opened) manually — it will then remain open as long as the outlet pressure stays within limits. Rated for an inlet pressure of 0.5–19 kg/cm² and outlet pressure of 0.05–5 kg/cm², with a gas flow rate of 150 Nm³/hr through a 1" BSP (internal) end connection, for use with natural gas, LPG, nitrogen and CO2.
